The toughest one so far!

This years ride starts out from Avignon on the afternoon of Monday 13th September having taken the Eurostar train from Ebbsfleet to Lille and then the TGV down to Avignon.

There are four riders this year. Three from last year John Smith, Mike Birtles, and myself John Melton and new comer Paul Brown.

The planned route this year can be seen here which includes the famous Mont Ventoux climb which we should be attempting on the second or third day depending on weather (and fitness!).

The picture below is taken about 10k south of the mountain. Are we really going to cycle up to the top of that!
